UN Secretary-General-- "Time for Ceasefire!" Russia & China rejects U.S. Ceasefire Resolution
On Friday March 22, at the United Nations Security Council Meeting, the U.S. put forth a ceasefire resolution to stop the Israel-Hamas war. Russia and China vetoed the U.S. ceasefire resolution.
On March 23, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres had made another passionate plea for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. "It is time to silence the guns," he said, speaking during his visit to the Egyptian side of the “Rafah crossing.” The Rafah Crossing is the single crossing point between Egypt and Palestine's Gaza Strip.” Guterres called for “Peace, Mutual Respect, Solidarity,” in his message as Palestinians endure unspeakable hardship during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
