Listen to their voices
People across the world are already living with devastating effects of climate change. At #COP26 today Monday 8 November 2021 their voices were front and centre.
I have been listening to various podcasts and watching news feeds from the COP26 Climate Summit in Glasgow Scotland.
I encourage you to follow these stories— journalists are working hard to bring you the voices of scientists, civil society activists, indigenous peoples, farmers, and everyday people impacted by the climate change crisis. Thousands have traveled from around the world at great sacrifice to tell their stories to world leaders and they are also begging for you to listen and act.
Week one of Cop26 is over – World leaders (blah, blah, blah,) gave their talks, many countries are still not on board and many citizens around the world are not paying enough attention in order to ask their governments if they are seriously taking action to prevent the worst impacts of the climate crisis. From The Independent Here’s what to look out for in week two of Cop26:https://www.independent.co.uk/climate-change/news/cop26-glasgow-obama-greta-thunberg-b1953724.html
